Beth is currently serving as the Women's Ministry Coordinator. She and her husband Sam have been involved at COS for 27 years. The Women's Bible Studies deepened Beth's faith as a young mother and continue to challenge and encourage her. She has taught and written Bible Studies, and served in a variety of leadership roles over the past years.

Beth grew up in rural Lancaster County, where her dad was pastor of a church plant. She understood her need for a personal Savior at the age of 9, and received Christ at a tent revival meeting. Christian high school and college broadened her experience in the church.

Beth has worked with women and children since she began teaching Sunday school as a teenager. During summers off from school as a high school and college student, she worked in youth ministry and lived in the South Bronx, inner-city Washington D.C. and Reading, PA.

After college, Beth served for three years in Honduras as a volunteer with the church, and taught nutrition and hygiene to women in both cities and rural villages. Back in the States she worked as a social worker for Spanish Catholic Spanish Services, as a field director for the Girl Scouts, and in human resources for the Victor Weaver Company.

Her husband Sam's work brought them to the Main Line in 1979. They have been married for 31 years and have three children in their 20s.

Beth has a BS in Home Economics from Eastern Mennonite University, studied at El Instituto de Lengua Española in Costa Rica, and earned a Certificate in Biblical Counseling from Biblical Seminary.
