Church of the Saviour Marriage Ministry
The ministry offers a premarriage course and classes geared to feed those who are contemplating marriage to those who have been married for many years (Marriage God’s Way). Our desire is that every marriage be a reflection of God’s glory; that every husband and wife will not only understand how to apply the principles in Ephesians 5:21-33 to their marriage, but that each will fulfill his and her part in that plan.
We are committed to building, strengthening and supporting Biblically based marriages and drawing others to the source of their success in Jesus Christ.
Our Priorities
- Raise awareness that Marriage Matters to God, family, COS, society & our community
- Provide marriage enrichment
- Meet the needs of marriages that are committed, but experiencing seasons of difficulty
- Meet the needs of marriages in crisis and beyond
- Meet the needs of marriages outside of the COS community
- Prepare singles who are in a serious dating relationship and/or are engaged.

Marriage Preparation
Church of the Saviour is committed to helping couples build Christ-centered marriages. The Premarital Counseling Program at COS is designed to prepare couples for Christian marriage.
Marriage Blog
Postings encourage couples to have a God-glorifying marriage as we examine the worldview of marriage through a BIblical lens. Check it out here.
Couples Ministry
The Newly Married Ministry is for couples who have been married for less than two years. Once a group is formed it is closed to new members. The couples meet once a month at the home of one of our spiritually mature couples for a time of fellowship and conversation.
Mentoring Ministry
Marriage Mentors is a program that meets the needs of couples who are committed to stay in their marriage, but are experiencing seasons of difficulty. Mentor couples will minister to couples in need through listening, taking time to care, see couples throught the hard times, provide encouragement rather than advise, be a loving and caring friend, and faithfully pray.
Marriage Counseling
The Marriage Ministry offers daytime and evening counseling appointments. Whether a couple needs help working through one issue or they are in need of the transforming power of the gospel it is best to address concerns early in the marriage. The Ministry can also provide referrals to fee based professional Christian counselors in our area.
Marriage Classes 
Marriage classes are offered on an on-going basis. Topics range from “what is God’s purpose for marriage” to “how can couples better communicate”; from “how can we better handle conflict” to “what does Scripture have to say about sex, finances, children and families of origin?” Click here for a detailed class schedule.
Marriage Dinners & Dialogue
Couples meet in homes for a meal and to view and discuss a DVD on a multitude of topics having to do with marriage, i.e. expectations, staying in love, love and respect, "What Did You Expect", and "It Came from Within".
Marriage Coaching
Designed for couples who have a relatively strong marriage but want it to get better. The approach is similar to that of a life coach in that the sessions are conducted on the phone with the couple, goals are setand accountability is provided.
Family Life - Weekend to Remember
