Policies for e-Groups

I. The criteria for posting emails would be the following:

1. Notifications to the group from the Creed Leadership team. This would include the following items.
   a. Announcements related to Creed Sunday nights.
   b. Announcements related to Creed hosted, sponsored, or supported events.
   c. Messages from the leadership that need to be conveyed to everyone.

2. Prayer requests of members of the Creed Email list.

II. The criteria for rejecting emails would be the following:

1. The posted email does not meet the criteria listed in items 1 & 2.

2. The posted email contains names of other individuals aside from the creator of the posted email, unless verification and confirmation from the other individuals can be obtained that use of their names is acceptable.

3. The posted email contains references to personal web sites.

4. The posted email contains references to web sites which certain members may find objectional or offensive (i.e. political sites, dating sites, etc.)

5. The posted email may be of an intensity, or of such a personal nature, as to be inappropriate for mass distribution. This would include, but is not limited to, such things as: personal struggles with addictions, struggles with thoughts of suicide, expressions of rage, expressions hatred, and other intimate personal details.

6. The posted email contains material which is inappropriate, offensive, or vulgar, and which would violate the spirit of Christ-likeness. This would include, but is not limited to, profane language, pornographic content, race hatred and other forms of bigotry, as well as any other content with the intent to defame or ridicule.

7. The posted email attempts to preach or lecture.

8. The posted email attempts to use the list as a mechanism for dating or finding a spouse.

9. The posted email is intended as a solicitation for employment or employment opportunities.

10. The posted email contains material which is oriented around a political party or viewpoint in such a manner that either promotes or refutes that party or viewpoint unless otherwise approved by the leadership of C.O.M.M.O.N. Creed.
