About Us
What to Expect When You Visit Our Church
Church of the Saviour is privileged to have many guests each Sunday. If you make your way to COS this week you will find that our dress includes everything from suits to business casual to jeans. We trust that you will find the people of COS to be friendly and genuinely glad that you found your way to us. Please take an opportunity to let someone know you're visiting with us so that we can extend a personal welcome to you.
Sunday Mornings
Each Sunday morning we come together to worship our Savior Jesus Christ as a community. We offer services and programs for adults and children of all ages - at different times and with differing formats - so that everyone can participate in an appropriate and meaningful time of worship.
The music at Church of the Saviour is led by a dedicated group of musicians, singers and technicians who desire to lead God's people in worship in all three of our morning services. Our first two services (8:05 & 9:30), under the direction of Ron Matthews, are led by our choir and orchestra, and rooted in the great hymns and traditions of the Christian church. The third service (11:00) is led by a variety of gifted praise teams and includes many new songs of the Christian faith. We love the theologically rich songs of generations past as well as the newer hymns of more contemporary writers.
All of our services incorporate God-centered music, prayer, confession of sin, giving of tithes and offerings, Scripture reading and the exposition of God's Word. Find out more about our Worship Arts Ministry HERE.
The preaching at COS is driven by the conviction that the Bible is God's Word and is therefore entirely truthful, authoritative, powerful and sufficient. We usually preach through books of the Bible; this is called expository preaching because it "exposes" the Word of God to those who hear. You can listen to or download sermons online HERE.
During the 9:30 and 11:00 hours, there is a full range of excellent Bible study groups and Sunday school classes for children, students and adults.
COS is also blessed with a dedicated and loving team of adults who provide childcare for our youngest attendees. Our welcome centers have information to help you choose the programs that best fit your family's needs.

Sunday Evenings
Every Sunday evening at 6:00, COS hosts a fourth weekly corporate worship service called The Vine. While everyone is welcome, this service is geared primarily to university students, younger singles and professionals. That said, there are plenty of families, high school students and older adults who regularly attend The Vine.
